It is our hope that through the Justice Forum, individuals and churches would be informed, mobilized and equipped to respond to issues of injustice in the nations with awareness, humility, and action.

Main speakers/groups:

Zana Briski is the director of the Academy Award-winning film Born Into Brothels, a feature documentary about the children of Calcutta’s prostitutes. In 2002 Zana created Kids with Cameras, a non-profit organization to empower marginalized children through learning the art of photography.

Ronald J. Sider is President of Evangelicals for Social Action and Director of the Sider Center on Ministry and Public Policy at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. A widely known speaker and writer, Ron has spoken on six continents, published 27 books, and is the publisher of PRISM magazine and a contributing editor of Christianity Today and Sojourners.

Rob Morris is President and Co-founder of Justice For Children International (www.jfci.org). JFCI works toward the abolition of child sex trafficking through advocacy, prevention, and aftercare. Rob travels internationally as a speaker and teacher and is part of the Axiom missional church community in New Haven, CT.

Bethany Hanke is the Education Program Manager at International Justice Mission. IJM is an international human rights agency that rescues victims of violence, sexual exploitation, slavery, and oppression. Bethany received her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
